Casual and family-owned restaurant, Prince's Fine Caribbean Cuisine, just opened this past Tuesday at 152 Lakeshore Rd. East on the North East side of Lakeshore and Hurontario. Named after their son, owners Trisha and John take pride in their home-cooked Caribbean cuisine and highly suggested their jerk chicken, oxtail and curried goat dishes. I took home the oxtail with rice, which was served with a heaping side of coleslaw. While my friend, Sheri, got to try their jerk chicken.

The oxtail was slightly sweet and very flavourful, which made for a nice combination when paired with the fluffy rice with beans and crispy coleslaw. I finished off my meal with a drink of Tropical Rhythm's Island Mango on ice.
Parking tip: it's a bit of an odd spot if you plan on driving. Try to get parking across the street on the South side of Lakeshore. Otherwise, you can try your luck at the Tim Horton's/ Verve gas station parking! The Scotiabank area only allows for customer parking. Otherwise, it's easy to get to the restaurant if you're walking.
Has anyone else tried this new Caribbean joint? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
Here's a little peek at their menu:
